How it worksFrom a folder of footage to a cut

Write what the video should say. Get the cut.

Endroll is a video editor that cuts from a script. You write a brief or a full script; Endroll's AI finds the moments in your own footage and builds a rough cut you can read, change and finish. You don't need to be an editor, and if you are one, the timeline opens in your own bay.

Step 01Start a project

Point it at your footage

Drop a folder on the window: phone clips, camera cards and old interviews can sit in the same folder. Endroll listens to the speech, finds the faces and describes what is in each frame.

It all runs on your computer. Your full footage never leaves your machine, and footage shot at the same time on several cameras or a separate sound recorder lines up by itself while it prepares.

  1. New project
  2. Drop a folder on the drop zone, or click it to browse
  3. Follow the step list while it prepares

Step 02The Script workspace

Say what the video should say

Write a sentence about the film, paste a full script, or press Write the script for me and let Endroll write one from your brief and what you actually shot. Set a length, and Draft a new cut.

Endroll's AI finds the moments in your footage that say it and puts them in order. It doesn't invent anything: every line is a line someone said on camera, and a scene with no footage is left out and named, not faked. Paste a YouTube link you love and the cut matches its pace.

  1. Script workspace, Script panel
  2. Write the brief or paste the screenplay
  3. Set the length
  4. Draft a new cut

Step 03The cut

Read the cut, top to bottom

The cut comes back as a list of shots, each carrying the line spoken in it, with captions and your music under the dialogue. Read it like a script: mark words and press Delete to cut them, drag a section to move it.

When you want the frame-level tools, they are there: split, trim and roll, alternative takes, speed, J- and L-cuts, transitions. Everything you do by hand runs on your machine.

  1. Script workspace: the film as text
  2. or Edit workspace: the sequence
  3. Every edit undoes

Every click in this step: Manual, The cut

Step 04The assistant

Tell it what to change

Type the change the way you'd tell an editor: “remove the last shot, drop shot 3 and trim the end of shot 5”. Small changes happen on the spot; “make the opening punchier” is a re-cut.

Every message shows its price before it runs, a whole new cut waits for your yes, and any change the assistant makes undoes like your own.

  1. Assistant tab
  2. Type the change
  3. Enter

Every click in this step: Manual, The assistant

Step 05Render and export

Render it, or take it to your editor

Render the film on your machine: a contact sheet to approve first, then the MP4. Or hand the timeline over: Open in Premiere Pro, Open in DaVinci Resolve, or FCPXML for Final Cut Pro. Your files stay where they are.

Subtitles export as SRT or WebVTT, the transcript as plain text. Need it vertical for social? Reframe the same cut to 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5 as a new timeline.

  1. Top bar
  2. Render, or Export
  3. Pick where it goes

Every click in this step: Manual, Render and export

The AI's partAnd where it stops

The cut is made from what you shot.

What Endroll's AI does

Watches every take, on your machine, so you don't have to

Finds the moments that say what you wrote

Cuts where the speaker starts and stops, never mid-word

Hands you a cut you can read, change and export

What it doesn't do

Invent quotes: every line was said in your footage

Fake a scene you didn't film: it is left out and named instead

Start a new cut without your yes

Lock your edit in: the timeline opens in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut

CreditsPrice first, every time

Editing by hand is yours. The AI's work uses credits.

Indexing, editing by hand, rendering and exports run on your machine and never spend a credit. Drafts, scripts, re-cuts and assistant edits use the credits in your plan, and each one shows its price before it runs. Free trials open in batches: sign in to join the waitlist.
