Questions, answered.
Short answers on what Endroll does, what it costs and where your footage goes. Something missing? Email support@endroll.ai.
01Endroll
What is Endroll?
A video editor with AI that does the cutting. Point it at a folder of footage and say what the video should say, as a brief or a full script. Endroll finds the moments in your footage and builds the cut, with pacing, captions and your music under the dialogue. Approve it, or say what to change.
It doesn't invent anything: the cut is made from what you shot. Generated music or graphics appear only when you ask for them.
Who is it for?
People and teams who already have the footage but not an editor: the trade fair, the webinar, the customer interview, the CEO's message nobody watches past minute two. You don't need to know how to edit. You say what the video should say and approve the cut.
Professional editors use it for the assistant editor's work: Endroll does the assembly and hands you a clean timeline for your own bay.
02Getting started
What does it run on?
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. An NVIDIA GPU is recommended. The installer is about 1.9 GB because it brings the whole editor: indexing, transcription and rendering all run on your machine.
On a Mac? Sign in anyway and tell us on your account page. We'll let you know when the Mac version is ready.
How does the free trial work?
Free trials open in batches. Sign in with your email and you're on the waitlist; we email you when your spot opens. A trial is the whole editor for 14 days and 600 credits, enough for a first cut and a revision from your own footage. No card, nothing to cancel.
The trial ends on its own and never turns into a paid plan. Nothing is charged unless you subscribe. After it ends, your projects and exports still work in the editor; the AI waits for a plan. Unused trial credits expire with the trial.
One trial per person and per computer. A paid plan starts right away and skips the list.
How do I get started?
Go to your account page, enter your email and type the code we send you. There is no password. Download the installer there, then open Endroll and sign in with the same email. Point it at a folder of footage and it starts preparing.
Do I need a Claude account or an AI API key?
No. You sign in to Endroll with your email, and the AI work runs through Endroll's own service, paid with your plan's credits. There's no separate AI subscription or API key to bring.
03Plans and credits
What does Endroll cost?
Two monthly plans, each with the whole editor and the month's credits. Starter is €29/month with 1,500 credits, about 6 full AI drafts. Pro is €59/month with 5,000 credits, about 20 full AI drafts, plus priority support. Prices include VAT where applicable. See pricing.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. Tax is handled at checkout, and we never see your card details.
What are credits, and what does a draft cost?
Credits pay only for the AI's work: drafting a cut, writing a script, a re-cut you ask the assistant for, and anything generated. A full AI draft of a five-minute film runs about 225 credits, and every paid action shows its price before you press the button.
Everything else (timeline edits, trims, captions, adding your own music, rendering and exports) runs on your machine and never spends a credit. The amount of footage doesn't change the price either: bring one hour or ten, and the same cut costs the same.
What if I run out of credits?
Credit features pause until your monthly allowance renews. Editing on your machine keeps working.
Need more sooner? Subscribers can top up: 1,000 credits for €19 or 5,000 for €79, paid once. Top-up credits never expire. Your monthly allowance is used first and doesn't roll over to the next billing period.
Can we pay by invoice?
Yes, that's what Enterprise is for. Starter and Pro are bought at checkout by card. If your organisation needs an invoice, a purchase order, annual terms or a security review, tell us what you need.
04Cancelling and refunds
How do I cancel?
Any time, from Manage subscription on your account page. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the billing period, so your plan keeps working until the end of the month you paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Tell us within 14 days of a purchase and unused credits are refunded in full. Forgot to cancel? If no credits have been used since the renewal, contact us within 14 days of it and we'll refund it. Each top-up is its own purchase with its own 14 days.
Refunds go back to your original payment method through Dodo Payments. The full rules, including your EU right of withdrawal, are in our refund policy.
05Your footage
Where does my footage go?
Your full footage never leaves your machine. Indexing, transcription, editing and rendering run locally.
When you use the AI features, what reaches our servers is your prompts and scripts, transcripts and text descriptions of your footage, small preview stills the AI looks at to judge shots, and the usage records needed to bill credits. The app also sends anonymous usage measurements: numbers and short labels, never footage, audio, scripts or file names. We don't sell data, and we don't run advertising trackers.
The exact wording is in our privacy policy.
06Your other tools
Can I finish the cut in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut?
Yes, and exports never spend credits. Open in Premiere Pro sends the cut through the Endroll panel, which is on Adobe Exchange for Premiere Pro 25.6 and later. Open in DaVinci Resolve sends it straight into Resolve. For Final Cut Pro, export the timeline as FCPXML. Your original files stay where they are, referenced in place.
Subtitles and the transcript export as SRT, WebVTT or plain text. Step by step: Render and export and Endroll for Premiere Pro.
How do updates work?
Endroll updates itself in the background. There's no download page to come back to. Every release is listed in the changelog.
How do I reach support?
Email support@endroll.ai. Pro plans include priority support.
